This bill authorizes the Department of General Services, with the Governor's approval, to grant and convey approximately 2.857 acres of land and buildings located in the City of Harrisburg, Dauphin County, to the Susquehanna Regional Transportation Authority for a price of $340,000. The conveyance will be subject to various terms and conditions outlined in an agreement of sale, including the requirement that the property cannot be used as a licensed facility or similar type of facility as defined by state law. If this condition is violated, the title to the property will revert to the Commonwealth.
Additionally, the bill stipulates that the Secretary of General Services may impose further covenants, conditions, or restrictions deemed necessary for the Commonwealth's interests. The conveyance will be executed via a special warranty deed, and any costs associated with the transaction will be the responsibility of the grantee. If the conveyance is not completed within 24 months, the property may be sold through a competitive bidding process. Proceeds from the sale will be deposited into the General Fund. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
