In the near future, I will be introducing legislation to shine a light on the financial darkness of Team PA Foundation and because my soul dies a little inside when organizations do not produce annual comprehensive financial reports.  

Currently, Team PA is established by EO 2023-16 (Executive Order 2023-16 – Public Private Partnership) creating a public/private partnership for economic growth, supposedly.  For an entity that may or may not use taxpayer resources, but does collect and distribute private dollars under the control of and for  . . . . .does anyone really know . . . , the public should have a greater transparency on these entities.

This legislation will simply:

1. Place public-private partnerships created under executive orders to comply with our Right to Know Law.
2. Require an annual comprehensive financial report under GASB to be filed annually with the governor and the general assembly.
3. Publicly disclose all purchases made on behalf of the governor, or any other elected or appointed officials in the commonwealth by 10 business days of the purchase.
4. Must comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
