I will introduce companion legislation to a bipartisan bill sponsored by Rep. Jared Soloman (D-202) and Rep. Zachary Mako (R-183) which would authorize Pennsylvania join the Cosmetology Licensure Compact.

The aim of this bill is to address workforce shortages and allow our cosmetologists to practice in other Compact member states.

In addition to benefiting employers and consumers, the Compact offers significant benefits for all licensed cosmetologists with special provisions for active-duty military members. This ensures that licensure requirements do not create additional burdens for military families relocating to new duty stations.
