In the near future, I will be reintroducing legislation that will require our public procurement process to prioritize American-made products.

According to the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO), eight other states have some type of statutory preference for American-made products or services within their procurement process.

A preference for made-in-America goods when choosing where to spend our public tax dollars benefits American workers, in the Commonwealth as well as in other states.
It should be the policy of the Commonwealth to aid and support the development and expansion of American-made supplies in order to foster the economic well-being of the Commonwealth, the United States, and its people.
This legislation was prior HB 1917,
