One of the defining aspects of our country is the freedom for each person to decide the course of their own life, according to their conscience. This requires each person to respect the choices of one another, even when they may morally disagree. The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act is a current federal law that protects the rights of individuals to make their own choices about reproductive health care, particularly by criminalizing obstructions to physically accessing reproductive health care clinics.

This law protects the fundamental right to access health services while clarifying the extent of our neighbors' protected free speech. In the coming weeks, I plan to introduce a state version of the FACE Act to ensure Pennsylvania can continue to protect the rights of residents seeking reproductive health care.

This law balances patients' inherent rights with those who seek to share their views outside of clinics; please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation.
