This bill amends the Human Services Code, specifically Section 403, to enhance the uniformity in the administration of public assistance programs in Pennsylvania. A new subsection (h) is added, which mandates that the Department of Human Services conduct quarterly checks of income and employment records maintained by the Department of Labor and Industry. This verification process will apply to recipients of both medical assistance and benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

The intent of this amendment is to ensure that assistance programs are administered consistently and to verify the eligibility of recipients more effectively. The bill is set to take effect 60 days after its enactment.
