Our retired educators and state employees devoted their careers to serving Pennsylvania’s communities, yet they have gone more than 20 years without a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). As inflation erodes the value of fixed incomes, many retirees struggle to meet basic living expenses.  

I am reintroducing legislation to address this urgent need by providing a COLA to Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS) and State Employees' Retirement System (SERS) retirees.   

This long-overdue update will help ensure that those who gave so much to Pennsylvania can live with dignity in their retirement. I urge you to join me in supporting this critical measure for our retired educators and public servants.
