Soon I will be introducing a Resolution to recognize March 29, 2025, as National Vietnam War Veterans Day in Pennsylvania.
The Federal Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act was signed into law by President Trump in 2017 to honor the 9 million American heroes who served between 1955 and 1975. This Act designates March 29 of each year as National Vietnam War Veterans Day to commemorate our Vietnam Veterans.
The Vietnam War was a conflict between communist North Vietnam and U.S. anti-communism ally South Vietnam. During this conflict, more than 58,000 Americans lost their lives and 3,150 were Pennsylvanians. Today, more than 6.4 million Vietnam Veterans are still living in the U.S. These brave individuals should be recognized for their courage and sacrifice when answering our Nation’s call to duty.
Please join me in cosponsoring this Resolution to recognize our Vietnam War Veterans in Pennsylvania.
