The York County delegation hosted an Emergency Medical Services (EMS)/ Fire round table discussion in July 2024 at York College of Pennsylvania. The purpose of the round table discussion was to “shed light” on the valuable work our local EMS and fire personnel do daily for our residents and highlight where government can either “get out of the way” or help facilitate efficiencies. Presenters represented both state and local emergency service personnel and we heard from the source, where there were opportunities for government to get out of the way or where process improvements are needed to help those that selflessly save others daily.
After almost four hours of testimony, question and answer period; several legislative proposals presented themselves. I intend to offer the following proposals:
