In the near future, I will be re-introducing HB1907 from the 2023-2024 Legislative Session to establish a portion of a township road in Conewago Township, York County, as a State Highway. The township road to be taken over as a State highway is Susquehanna Trail T-956 (Formerly Legislative Route 333). In return for this portion of the road as a state highway, Conewago Township accepts the turn-back on Bowers Bridge Road (State Route 1013, formerly Legislative Route 66200).
Act 203 of 1931 (Township State Highway Law) allows township roads to become State highways in the Commonwealth through special legislation approved by the General Assembly and then the Governor.
Please join me in supporting this unique function of State Government.
