Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) teaches children essential social, educational, and life skills and leaves a lasting impact. Studies show that students who complete Pre-K have higher IQs by age five, do better on exams, and have improved high school graduation rates. In addition to closing achievement gaps, Pre-K is a powerful intervention to help reduce income gaps, as those who had Pre-K are more likely to have higher incomes and own a home at age 40. Sadly, fewer than half of PA children eligible for Pre-K are enrolled.

In the near future, we will introduce a bill that requires schools to provide Pre-K for all eligible children. Our bill will help grow our economy by creating thousands of Pre-K and downstream jobs and helping moms return to the workforce sooner.

Please cosponsor our bill to help us provide Pennsylvania students with the support they need to lead our commonwealth into the future!
