In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that would allow Type A and Type B farm vehicles to safely drive on PA roadways at night. Currently, the Vehicle Code only allows these types of vehicles to drive on our roadways from sunrise to sunset, a burden when in many cases these trucks, pickups, and other implements only have to drive a short distance between fields or farmsteads.

Type A and Type B farm vehicles already maintain the necessary equipment required by PennDOT to safely operate at night despite not needing to get an inspection. I believe that if these vehicles have the necessary equipment to function at night, then they should not be limited to being driven on roadways between sunrise to sunset.
