Currently in Pennsylvania employees receiving tips or gratuities for performing their job duties must claim those funds as compensation for Pennsylvania’s personal income tax.  During this latest Presidential election cycle, both major party candidates expressed strong support for the idea of eliminating the federal income tax requirement on tips.  There have been multiple congressional bills introduced on this matter as well.  This is an easy bipartisan issue Pennsylvania should follow.

It is imperative that we provide tax relief for the citizens of this Commonwealth.  Pennsylvania’s tipped workers are some of the hardest workers in this nation and they deserve to keep more of the money they earned in their pockets.

Please join me in helping to provide tax relief for Pennsylvania’s service industry workers.
