We are introducing a resolution that will amend House Rule 14 to require the amount of money appropriated to House members for expense reimbursements to be published on a publicly accessible website managed and maintained by the Office of the Chief Clerk. This includes reimbursements for expenses pertaining to travel and lodging, administrative services, food and beverage, rent for office space, and other purchases in connection with legislative activities.

Although monthly reports on expense reimbursements are available through Right-to-Know requests, our resolution would simply make it easier for the public to retrieve this information. The people of Pennsylvania deserve to know how much their representatives are spending in a clear and easily accessible manner.

Please join us in supporting this measure to increase the transparency and opportunity for accountability of our elected government officials.
