In Pennsylvania, the Office of State Inspector General has over 120 law enforcement officers.  These officers work closely with law enforcement agencies.  They fight against fraud, waste, misconduct and abuse in state programs and government agencies.  Many times, their job places them in dangerous situations, however, unlike other law enforcement officers in our state, they are not permitted to carry weapons to ensure their safety.
 
Equipping the law enforcement officers working under the State Inspector General would allow them to execute their duties with the utmost safety.  Join me in allowing these officers to be equipped to protect themselves while they are working to protect our state.
