Pennsylvania’s flag, displaying the Commonwealth Crest on a field of blue, represents the strength and prosperity of our great state. For those who wish to display and respect the state flag, following a proper folding procedure is important. However, there is currently no folding procedure for Pennsylvania’s flag in regulation or statute.
 
To address this, I will be introducing legislation to codify the state flag folding procedure followed by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services. This will provide Pennsylvanians instructions on how to properly fold the flag. Including these procedures in statute is a simple way to respect the state flag and establish a standard for people throughout our state.
