In the near future, I intend to reintroduce Senate Bill 430 from the previous session, which seeks to amend the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act. This legislation proposes allowing club licensees to retain 50% of their proceeds from small games of chance, while preserving the requirement to allocate the remaining 50% to charitable donations.

Historically, clubs were permitted to keep only 30% of their proceeds, a figure that was increased to 40% in 2013.

With Pennsylvania’s gaming landscape continuing to evolve, this legislation aims to ensure that club licensees remain competitive and financially sustainable. The goal is not to diminish support for the communities they serve but to equip clubs with the resources needed to thrive, enabling them to maintain and even expand their charitable contributions.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this important initiative.
