In the near future, we plan to introduce a resolution recognizing November 11, 2024, as Veterans Day in Pennsylvania, honoring all of our Commonwealth’s veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Veterans Day (originally known as Armistice Day) is a federal holiday and celebrated on November 11 every year. Armistice Day recognized the anniversary of the temporary cessation of hostilities declared between the Allied Nations and Germany in World War 1, then known as The Great War. Armistice Day became an official national holiday in the United States in 1938 and was changed to Veterans Day in 1954.

"Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices." - Harry S. Truman

Please join us in honoring the over 800,000 brave men and women in our Commonwealth who served our nation by co-sponsoring this resolution.
