A RESOLUTION
1 Honoring the life and service of the Honorable Frank W.
2 Yandrisevits, a former member from Northampton, who died May
3 20, 2024, at 69 years of age.
4 WHEREAS, Mr. Yandrisevits worked for the benefit of the
5 Greater Lehigh Valley as a legislator, representing Monroe and
6 Northampton Counties in the 138th District and Lehigh and
7 Northampton Counties in the 183rd District; and
8 WHEREAS, Elected to the 138th District on November 6, 1984,
9 Mr. Yandrisevits faithfully served as a member of the General
10 Assembly through 1990; and
11 WHEREAS, Russell Kowalyshyn, Mr. Yandrisevits' law partner,
12 held the 138th District seat before him; and
13 WHEREAS, Mr. Yandrisevits went on to represent the 183rd
14 District during the 1993-1994 session; and
15 WHEREAS, Mr. Yandrisevits further served his community with
16 consistency and continuity through his legal practice on West
17 21st Street in Northampton and his lifelong membership in
18 Queenship of Mary Church; and
 1 WHEREAS, Born September 12, 1954, Mr. Yandrisevits was the
2 son of Frank J. and Ethel Temmel Yandrisevits; and
3 WHEREAS, Mr. Yandrisevits was a graduate of Allentown Central
4 Catholic High School, St. Joseph's University and Villanova
5 University Law School; and
6 WHEREAS, Mr. Yandrisevits was a member of the Northampton
7 County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the
8 Estate Planning Council of the Lehigh Valley; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Yandrisevits' sister, Marianne S. Yandrisevits,
10 and his father, a longtime owner-operator of the Atlas Hotel,
11 died before him; and
12 WHEREAS, The House of Representatives extends condolences to
13 Mr. Yandrisevits' wife, Janet Pammer Yandrisevits, and his
14 daughters, Elaine Yandrisevits and Marlene Yandrisevits;
15 therefore be it
16 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the life
17 and service of the Honorable Frank W. Yandrisevits, a former
18 member from Northampton, who died May 20, 2024, at 69 years of
19 age; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
21 Mrs. Janet Yandrisevits at 550 East 12th Street, Northampton, PA
22 18067-1783.
