A RESOLUTION
1 Designating October 12, 2024, as "The Day of Prayer and Fasting"
2 in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of Pennsylvania, the
4 seed of a nation, calls for a day of prayer and fasting in this
5 Commonwealth on October 12, 2024; and
6 WHEREAS, In her inception in 1776, America was birthed by the
7 hand and grace of Almighty God; and
8 WHEREAS, The Continental Congress, 15 times during the
9 Revolutionary War, called for days of prayer and fasting to come
10 before the Lord, humble ourselves, repent and turn from our
11 wicked ways; and
12 WHEREAS, From that came a nation under God that has been
13 blessed because God has been our Lord; and
14 WHEREAS, Sin is a reproach to our land and "righteousness
15 exalteth a nation"; and
16 WHEREAS, Now, almost 250 years later, we have lost sight of
17 Jesus Christ and His Holy Word, the foundation of freedom; and
18 WHEREAS, Now we face a great unseen war of good versus evil
 1 that has caused a silent encroachment of our freedoms, but the
2 same God that delivered us then can deliver us again; therefore
3 be it
4 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate October
5 12, 2024, as "The Day of Prayer and Fasting" in Pennsylvania and
6 recommend to the other states to repent of our sins on this day
7 for the killing of our unborn children, the destruction of the
8 family instituted by God and the removal of God and prayer from
9 our nation; and be it further
10 RESOLVED, That on the Day of Atonement, October 12, 2024, in
11 the year of our Lord that liberty might be proclaimed throughout
12 all the land once again in this Commonwealth and in these great
13 United States of America; and be it further
14 RESOLVED, That by God's grace we will continue to be the
15 Shining City on a Hill for posterity.
