AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in budget and finance,
3 further providing for expenses.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 3532 of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 ยง 3532. Expenses.
9 The Office of the Court Administrator of Pennsylvania shall
10 pay the annual registration fee of [$200] $600 to the Special
11 Court Judges [of Pennsylvania] Association of Pennsylvania for
12 each magisterial district judge[,] and Philadelphia Municipal
13 Court Judge [and Philadelphia Traffic Court Judge position]
14 authorized as of January 31 of each year. Beginning January 1,
15 2025, the amount of the annual registration fee shall be
16 increased by the percentage of increase in the Consumer Price
17 Index for Urban Workers for the immediately preceding calendar
18 year which shall be transmitted to the Legislative Reference
1 Bureau for publication in the next available issue of the
2 Pennsylvania Bulletin annually by the Supreme Court on or before
3 the preceding November 30. Payment shall be made on the first
4 day of a new fiscal year including July 1, 1988. In addition the
5 Office of the Court Administrator of Pennsylvania shall pay the
6 annual cost for the publishing of a monthly journal containing
7 the update and revision of laws and State Supreme Court rule
8 changes. Except for the funding of the publication of the
9 monthly journal which shall be a direct cost of the Office of
10 the Court Administrator of Pennsylvania, all other funding for
11 the other expenses set forth in this section shall come from the
12 annual appropriation made to the magisterial district judges.
13 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
