A RESOLUTION
1 Designating the week of July 15 through 24, 2024, as "Butler
2 County Can-Am Games Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, First responders are active members of our
4 communities on the national, State and local levels and deserve
5 to be honored for their help in keeping communities safe; and
6 WHEREAS, The Can-Am Police-Fire Games have been hosted
7 throughout the United States since 1977 to promote unity and a
8 sense of community among first responders throughout North
9 America; and
10 WHEREAS, This Commonwealth is the only east coast state to
11 have been honored to host these historic games in more than 40
12 years; and
13 WHEREAS, Butler County is very honored to be chosen as the
14 location for these historic games in this Commonwealth;
15 therefore be it
16 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
17 week of July 15 through 24, 2024, as "Butler County Can-Am Games
1 Week" in Pennsylvania.
