Digest: The Act directs JLAC to audit the SOS to assess election integrity in this state. (Flesch

Directs the Joint Legislative Audit Committee to cause an audit of the Secretary of State
Elections Division to be performed to assess the integrity of elections in Oregon. Establishes dates
by which the audit is to commence and audit findings are to be reported to the committee.
Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment sine die.
1 A BILL FOR AN ACT
2 Relating to election integrity audits of the Secretary of State Elections Division; and prescribing an
3 effective date.
4 Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
5 SECTION 1. (1) The Joint Legislative Audit Committee shall cause to be performed an
6 audit of the Secretary of State Elections Division to assess the integrity of elections con-
7 ducted in Oregon.
8 (2) The audit shall be commenced no later than , 2025.
9 (3) The Legislative Fiscal Officer may hire individuals with appropriate audit and
10 elections experience to assist the committee in the performance of the audit.
11 (4) Findings of the audit shall be presented to the committee no later than
12 , 2026.
13 SECTION 2. This 2025 Act takes effect on the 91st day after the date on which the 2025
14 regular session of the Eighty-third Legislative Assembly adjourns sine die.
