This bill amends Section 423 of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority regulations, introducing new restrictions and definitions regarding edible medical marijuana products. It establishes that edible products processed, produced, packaged, or transferred by licensed medical marijuana processors must not exceed ten milligrams of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) per serving, with a maximum of ten servings or one hundred milligrams per package. Additionally, beverages must not contain more than twenty milligrams of THC in a single container. The bill also outlines specific packaging restrictions to ensure that edible products are not appealing to children, prohibiting certain shapes, colors, and imagery that could attract minors.

Furthermore, the bill mandates that licensed processors must adhere to food preparation guidelines and allows for inspections by the Authority to ensure compliance. If deficiencies are found during inspections, processors are given a month to rectify them or face fines. The bill also clarifies that licensed processors cannot sell marijuana products directly to patients or caregivers, although they may process cannabis for patients for a fee. The effective date for this legislation is set for November 1, 2026.
