The Oklahoma Home Warranty Transparency Act establishes new requirements for home warranty companies to enhance transparency and accountability. Under this act, companies are mandated to publicly display all applicable fees and detailed pricing for covered modifications, including labor and parts, at their principal place of business and on their official websites. Additionally, any repair personnel employed or contracted by these companies must be bonded, insured, and hold valid state licenses or provide proof of necessary training or certifications.

Furthermore, the act stipulates that home warranty companies must provide policyholders with information regarding the specific licenses, training standards, or certifications of their contractors and employees within 24 hours of a request. It also requires that a representative from the warranty company assess any covered warranty item within 48 hours of a claim submission. This legislation is set to take effect on November 1, 2026.
