Furthermore, the bill requires that any wrecker or towing service responding to an accident involving livestock or poultry must immediately notify the relevant county emergency management organization. This organization is then responsible for assisting in the humane treatment and disposition of the animals, following the established rules and guidance. The bill is set to take effect on November 1, 2026.
