This bill establishes new regulations regarding the taking of game for compensation in Oklahoma, prohibiting both residents and nonresidents from assisting or guiding individuals in such activities without written permission from the landowner. The bill defines the necessary written permission as either a physical document or electronic information that includes the landowner's name and contact details, as well as the name of the individual authorized to assist. Violations of this law will result in misdemeanor charges, with penalties including fines ranging from $500 to $2,500 and potential jail time.

Additionally, the bill mandates automatic revocation of hunting or fishing licenses upon conviction, with the revocation period determined by the court—ranging from one to ten years for first offenses and three to ten years for subsequent offenses. The court is also required to transmit conviction information to the Department of Wildlife Conservation, which may be done electronically. Exceptions to the law are provided for landowners, agricultural lessees, and their designated employees, as well as individuals on licensed commercial hunting areas or feral hog hunting facilities. The act is set to take effect on November 1, 2026.
