The Oklahoma Homeowner Repair Contract Protection Act establishes new regulations for home solicitation contracts, which are defined as agreements made through personal solicitation at a homeowner's residence. The Act clarifies that such contracts do not include sales made under preexisting agreements or those negotiated at a fixed business location. It also specifies that advertising and responding to homeowner-initiated contacts are not prohibited under this law.

A key provision of the Act allows homeowners a five-day period to cancel a home solicitation contract, effective until midnight of the fifth calendar day after signing the agreement. Homeowners can cancel by providing written notice to the contractor, and the notice does not need to follow a specific format as long as it clearly expresses the homeowner's intention to cancel. The Act is set to take effect on November 1, 2026.
