This bill amends the Oklahoma Security Guard and Private Investigator Act by introducing a new provision that allows licensed security guards and police or peace officers to wear their official uniforms while providing volunteer security services at established places of worship, provided they have the consent of their employing agency. This new section will be codified as Section 1750.15 of Title 59 in the Oklahoma Statutes.
Additionally, the bill stipulates that individuals who are not licensed as security guards or police or peace officers are prohibited from wearing any uniform or badge that may create the impression that they hold such licenses while performing volunteer security services at places of worship. The bill is set to take effect on November 1, 2026.
