This bill establishes a new section in the Oklahoma Statutes that defines the term "resource family partner" as a private child-placing agency contracted with the Department of Human Services (DHS) to support foster homes. It mandates that the DHS provide specific foster care data to these resource family partners on a monthly basis to enhance outcomes for foster children and parents, as well as to identify needs within the foster care system.
The data to be shared with resource family partners will be aggregated, de-identified, and up-to-date, including information such as the daily number of children without placements, demographic data of foster parents and children, areas with high demand for placements, and the number of sibling groups separated in different placements. The bill is set to take effect on November 1, 2026.
