This bill enacts a new law in Oklahoma that allows all honorably discharged veterans who are residents of the state to gain free admission to sporting events hosted by public schools. To qualify for this benefit, veterans must present a valid Oklahoma driver license or state photo identification card along with military discharge papers (DD Form 214) or similar documentation proving their honorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces. Additionally, a driver license or identification card issued by the Department of Public Safety that features a flag emblem and the word "veteran" will also suffice for free admission.

The bill is set to be codified as Section 8 of Title 72 in the Oklahoma Statutes and will take effect on November 1, 2026. This initiative aims to honor and recognize the service of veterans by providing them with complimentary access to community sporting events.
