The bill establishes a new section in the Oklahoma Statutes that prohibits direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical advertising, which is defined as any promotional communication targeting consumers through various media, including television, radio, print, digital platforms, and social media. Under this legislation, no person or entity is allowed to engage in such advertising within the state.

To enforce this prohibition, the State Board of Pharmacy is granted the authority to impose administrative penalties of up to $10,000 per day for each violation, with each day of continued violation considered a separate offense. Additionally, the Board is empowered to adopt necessary rules to implement the provisions of this section. The act is set to take effect on November 1, 2026.
