This bill establishes the Ag in the Classroom Education Program within the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry, aimed at educating K-12 students about agriculture in both rural and urban settings. The program will develop a curriculum, provide training for teachers, and collaborate with the State Department of Education and Oklahoma State University Cooperative Extension Service. Additionally, the Department is authorized to offer incentives to participating teachers, which may include recognition, monetary awards for agriculture-related projects, and certificates.

The bill also amends Section 1104.3 of Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes, increasing the fee for Agricultural Awareness license plates from $24 to $27, with the additional funds directed to the Ag in the Classroom Education Revolving Fund. This fund will now include appropriated and apportioned funds, federal grants, municipal contributions, and private donations, ensuring that all funds are dedicated solely to the Ag in the Classroom Education Program. The act is set to take effect on November 1, 2026.
