This bill amends Section 1.4a of Title 53 of the Oklahoma Statutes to enhance the functions and responsibilities of the Office of Tribal Relations within the Oklahoma Historical Society. The amendments include provisions for the Office to organize compacts and agreements between tribal governments and the state in both paper and electronic formats, ensuring public accessibility. Additionally, the Office is authorized to consult various sources, including state agencies and tribal governments, to gather necessary information for its duties.

Furthermore, the bill mandates that the Office of Tribal Relations deliver updated electronic copies of the organized material to each member of the Oklahoma Legislature by December 1 of every even-numbered year, and physical copies after each gubernatorial election. The Oklahoma Historical Society is also required to provide suitable office space for the Office of Tribal Relations. The act is set to take effect on November 1, 2025.
