This bill establishes a mandatory retirement age of seventy-five (75) years for certain judicial officers in Oklahoma, including Justices of the Supreme Court, Judges of the Court of Criminal Appeals, Judges of the Court of Civil Appeals, and district or associate district court judges. The bill allows these judges to complete their current term if they turn seventy-five during that term. Upon retirement, they will receive retirement benefits as provided by law. Additionally, any judicial officer who has already reached the age of seventy-five by the effective date of the act will also be required to retire, although they may complete their current term if they choose.

Furthermore, the bill prohibits any individual who has reached seventy-five years of age from being eligible for election, retention, or appointment to any appellate or district court. The effective date for this legislation is set for November 1, 2025.
