This bill establishes new requirements for hospitals in Oklahoma regarding the transparency of their pricing for medical services. It mandates that hospitals must publicly disclose a digital file containing a list of all standard charges for hospital items and services, as well as a consumer-friendly list of at least 300 shoppable services. The lists must be available in a machine-readable format, easily accessible on the hospital's website, and updated annually. The bill also outlines specific information that must be included in these lists, such as gross charges, negotiated charges with third-party payors, and any relevant billing codes.

Additionally, the bill grants the State Department of Health the authority to monitor compliance and take action against hospitals that fail to adhere to these requirements. Hospitals found to be noncompliant may face penalties, be required to submit corrective action plans, and are prohibited from initiating collection actions against patients for debts incurred during periods of noncompliance. The bill repeals previous sections of the Transparency in Health Care Prices Act and is set to take effect on November 1, 2025.
