The proposed bill, known as the "County Fair Modernization Act," introduces new regulations for the County Free Fair Association Board of Directors. It establishes an attendance requirement, stipulating that any member who is absent from more than fifty percent of all meetings within a span of four consecutive meetings will automatically cease to hold office, resulting in a vacancy. Additionally, the bill allows board members to participate in a recommended training course offered by Oklahoma State University's extension office to enhance their effectiveness in their roles.

The act is set to take effect on November 1, 2025, and includes provisions for noncodification and codification within the Oklahoma Statutes. The new sections will be designated as Section 15-97 and Section 15-98 of Title 2, ensuring that the attendance requirement and training opportunities are formally integrated into existing law.
