The Oklahoma Public Safety and Immigration Enforcement Act establishes a framework for enhanced collaboration between state law enforcement agencies, the Department of Corrections, and federal immigration authorities. Central to this act is the creation of a Secure Interagency Collaboration Platform, which will facilitate real-time data sharing and communication among these entities. The platform will integrate existing databases, provide automated alerts for unauthorized immigrants identified within the criminal justice system, and include case management tools to track individuals from arrest to deportation. The Office of Management and Enterprise Services is tasked with overseeing the platform's development and implementation, as well as promulgating necessary rules.

Law enforcement agencies are required to report arrests of suspected unauthorized immigrants and provide relevant data to the Department of Corrections and federal authorities through the platform. The Department of Corrections must screen individuals entering state correctional facilities for unauthorized immigrant status and notify federal authorities accordingly. Additionally, federal immigration authorities are expected to prioritize cooperation with state agencies to expedite deportation proceedings. Agencies that fail to comply with the act's requirements may face administrative penalties. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2025, and an emergency clause has been included to ensure its immediate implementation upon passage.
