The bill amends existing laws regarding the compensation of members of the State Election Board and county election boards in Oklahoma. Specifically, it increases the per diem compensation for State Election Board members from $50 to $75 for meetings related to conducting hearings required by law, and from $35 to $75 for other meetings. Additionally, the chair and vice-chair of each county election board will also receive an increased per diem of $75, up from $35, for their meetings.

The bill also stipulates that members will continue to receive mileage reimbursement at the rate provided by the State Travel Reimbursement Act. Furthermore, it establishes that the State Election Board will not cover reimbursement for more than forty meetings per fiscal year. The effective date for these changes is set for November 1, 2025.
