This bill amends sections of the Oklahoma Statutes related to the Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability and the Office of Educational Quality and Accountability. The Commission will be renamed to the "Commission for Education Impact" effective November 1, 2025, and the Office will be renamed to "ImpactEd." The bill also introduces staggered terms for the Commission members, with the initial terms ending on June 30, 2014, and subsequent terms commencing on July 1, 2027, with specific end dates for some members. A quorum for the Commission will consist of four members, and members will be reimbursed for travel expenses in accordance with state law.

Additionally, the bill updates statutory references to reflect the new names and establishes that all references to the Education Oversight Board and the Office of Accountability will refer to the newly named Commission and Office starting November 1, 2025. The Commission will also assume various duties related to educational oversight and teacher preparation, including the approval and accreditation of teacher education programs and the assessment of candidates for licensure and certification. The act is set to take effect on November 1, 2025.
