The Oklahoma Right to Garden Act of 2025 establishes the right for citizens to grow vegetables in personal vegetable gardens on their residential properties for personal consumption. The bill defines "residential property" as real estate with a dwelling unit accommodating four or fewer households and specifies that a "vegetable garden" is a designated area within this property used solely for personal enjoyment and consumption, excluding any commercial activities.

While the act affirms the right to garden, it also allows municipalities, cities, or towns to enact content-neutral ordinances that regulate aspects of vegetable gardening, such as size and proximity to roadways or structures for health and safety reasons. These regulations must align with existing municipal powers and cannot outright ban gardening. The act is set to take effect on November 1, 2025.
