This bill establishes a new requirement for child care facilities in Oklahoma that receive funding from the Department of Human Services, including those participating in the child care subsidy program. Specifically, these facilities must ensure that no materials—whether print, nonprint, or multimedia—on their premises contain content related to sexual orientation or gender identity. If a facility is found to be in violation of this requirement following a complaint and investigation, it will become ineligible for the child care subsidy program and any other funding from the Department until it is deemed compliant.
Additionally, the bill authorizes the Director of Human Services to create rules necessary for the implementation of these provisions. The new law is set to take effect on November 1, 2025.
