This bill proposes an increase in benefits for individuals receiving payments from the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System. Specifically, it stipulates that any beneficiary as of June 30, 2025, who continues to receive benefits after the bill's effective date will receive a five percent (5%) increase in their benefits.

However, there is an exception for members who joined the system prior to January 1, 1981. For these individuals, any increase in their pension will be adjusted by one-third (1/3) of any changes to the base salary of a regular police officer. Consequently, any benefits increase they are eligible for after July 1, 2020, will be offset by the adjustments made under this provision.
