7 A Resolution recognizing Oklahoma’s beef farmers and
7 ranchers; and designating May as Oklahoma Beef Month.

10 WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef cattle farmers and ranchers are dedicated
10
11 to producing a safe, wholesome, and healthful protein product for
11
12 the nourishment and enjoyment of Oklahomans; and
12
13 WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef cattle farmers and ranchers are committed
13
14 to the highest quality standards and practices that ensure excellent
14
15 care of their animals; and
15
16 WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef farmers and ranchers are tied directly to
16
17 the land and uphold the importance of protecting Oklahoma’s abundant
17
18 natural resources for future generations by serving as dedicated
18
19 stewards and caretakers; and
19
20 WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef farmers and ranchers are responsive and
20
21 forward-thinking, utilizing and adopting science-based and common-
21
22 sense management plans, time-tested traditional practices, and the
22
23 latest technologies.

3 THAT the Oklahoma State Senate hereby designates the month of

4 May of 2024 as Oklahoma Beef Month.
