8 A Resolution designating the month of May as Oklahoma
8 Beef Month; and designating Wednesday, May 8, 2024,
9 as Oklahoma Beef Day at the Capitol.

12 WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef cattle farmers and ranchers are dedicated
12
13 to producing a safe, wholesome and healthful protein product to the
13
14 nourishment and enjoyment of Oklahomans; and
14
15 WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef cattle farmers and ranchers are committed
15
16 to the highest quality standards and the most careful practices in
16
17 excellent care and livelihood of their animals; and
17
18 WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef farmers and ranchers are tied directly to
18
19 the land and uphold the importance of protecting Oklahoma's abundant
19
20 natural resources for future generations by serving as dedicated
20
21 stewards and caretakers; and
21
22 WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef farmers and ranchers are responsive and
22
23 forward-thinking, utilizing and adopting science-based and common
23

3 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

4 OF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 59TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:

5 THAT the month of May 2024 is hereby recognized by the Oklahoma
5
6 House of Representatives as Oklahoma Beef Month.

7 THAT the Oklahoma House of Representatives hereby proclaims
7
8 Wednesday, May 8, 2024, as Oklahoma Beef Day at the Capitol.
