7 A Resolution specifying the fiscal impact of the
7 elimination of the state portion of sales tax on
8 groceries; identifying agency budget amounts for
8 Fiscal Year 2025; and directing distribution.

11 WHEREAS, the State Board of Equalization approved Thirteen
11
12 Billion Nine Hundred Fifty-six Million Seven Hundred Seventy-two
12
13 Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-nine Dollars ($13,956,772,329.00) on
13
14 February 15, 2024; and
14
15 WHEREAS, the Oklahoma Legislature eliminated the state portion
15
16 of the sales tax on groceries on February 22, 2024, at a cost of
16
17 Three Hundred Twelve Million Nine Hundred Twenty-one Thousand Three
17
18 Hundred Forty-one Dollars ($312,921,341.00); and
18
19 WHEREAS, the total available recurring revenue available for use
19
20 in the Fiscal Year 2025 budget is Eleven Billion Six Hundred Six
20
21 Million Eight Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Five Hundred Forty
21
22 Dollars ($11,606,823,540.00).

23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE 2ND SESSION
