6 An Act relating to fire suppression; providing for
7 portable fire extinguishers in mobile food
7 establishments; providing for annual inspection;
8 providing for codification; and providing an
8 effective date.

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

12 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
12
13 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 325.20 of Title 74, unless there
13
14 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

15 In lieu of an automatic fire extinguishing system, portable fire
15
16 extinguishers shall be installed in mobile food establishments that
16
17 produce smoke or grease-laden vapors. All fire extinguishers shall
17
18 be inspected annually by a licensed contractor. A Class K-rated,
18
19 portable fire extinguisher is required for all cooking equipment
19
20 involving solid fuels or vegetable or animal oils and fats. All
20
21 portable fire extinguishers shall be in clear view and immediately
21
22 available for use.
