7 An Act relating to prisons and reformatories;
7 creating the Oklahoma Department of Corrections
8 Prison Rodeo Revolving Fund; making revolving fund
8 continuing and not subject to fiscal year
9 limitations; stating purpose of revolving fund;
9 making expenditures subject to warrants; making an
10 appropriation; stating amount and purpose of
10 appropriation; providing for codification; providing
11 for noncodification; and declaring an emergency.

14 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

15 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
15
16 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 559.1 of Title 57, unless there
16
17 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

18 There is hereby created in the State Treasury a revolving fund
18
19 for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections to be designated the
19
20 "Oklahoma Department of Corrections Prison Rodeo Revolving Fund".
20
21 The fund shall be a continuing fund, not subject to fiscal year
21
22 limitations, and shall consist of all monies directed for deposit by
22
23 law. All monies accruing to the credit of said fund are hereby
23
24 appropriated and may be used for the purpose of restoring,

 1 rehabilitating, and expanding the prison rodeo arena of the Oklahoma

2 Department of Corrections. Expenditures from said fund shall be
2
3 made upon warrants issued by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections
3
4 and approved by the Office of Management and Enterprise Services.

5 SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law not to be
5
6 codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:

7 There is hereby appropriated to the Oklahoma Department of
7
8 Corrections from any monies not otherwise appropriated from the
8
9 General Revenue Fund of the State Treasury, the sum of Eight Million
9
10 Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($8,300,000.00), or so much thereof
10
11 as may be necessary for site improvements, construction, repairs,
11
12 upgrades, and rehabilitation of the prison rodeo arena of the
12
13 Oklahoma Department of Corrections in order to benefit Oklahoma
13
14 inmates and citizens alike by creating prison program opportunities
14
15 and by attracting large-scale, national economic activity to the
15
16 State of Oklahoma.

17 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
17
18 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
18
19 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
19
20 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
