7 An Act relating to children; directing that certain
7 documents be given to certain persons; providing for
8 codification; and providing an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
13
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2-7-621 of Title 10A, unless
14
15 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
15
16 A person who has been adjudicated by the court as delinquent,
16
17 who has been committed to the Office of Juvenile Affairs as a result
17
18 of that adjudication, who has attained eighteen (18) years of age,
18
19 and who is being released from the custody of the Office of Juvenile
19
20 Affairs shall be given the following documents pertaining to the
20
21 person upon release:

22 1. An official or certified copy of the United States birth
22
23 certificate;

1 2. A Social Security card issued by the Commissioner of Social

2 Security;

3 3. Health insurance information;
3
4 4. A copy of the medical records of the person; and
4
5 5. A state-issued driver license or identification card.

6 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
