 7            An Act relating to cancer screening; requiring
 7            insurance coverage for certain cancer screening;
 8            providing coverage for certain members; specifying
 8            terms of coverage; providing for codification; and
 9            providing an effective date.

12   BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13       SECTION 1.       NEW LAW       A new section of law to be codified
13
14   in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6060.8b of Title 36, unless
14
15   there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
15
16       This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Fighting Chance
16
17   for Firefighters Act".

18       SECTION 2.       NEW LAW       A new section of law to be codified
18
19   in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6060.8c of Title 36, unless
19
20   there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

21       A.   A plan offered by the Employees Group Insurance Division of
21
22   the Office of Management and Enterprise Services, that is offered,
22
23   issued, or renewed in this state on or after the effective date of
23
24   this act, which provides medical and surgical benefits, shall

 1   provide coverage for annual comprehensive cancer screenings for
 1
 2   lung, prostate, testicular, skin, colon, and breast cancer.
 2
 3       Coverage shall be offered to all members, as defined in Section
 3
 4   49-100.1 of Title 11 in the Oklahoma Statutes, including volunteers,
 4
 5   of fire departments as defined in:
 5
 6       1.   Title 11 of the Oklahoma Statutes;
 6
 7       2.   Title 18 of the Oklahoma Statutes; and
 7
 8       3.   Title 19 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
 8
 9       B.   Coverage under this section shall not be subject to any
 9
10   annual deductible, copayments, or coinsurance limits as established
10
11   for all covered benefits under the health benefit plan.
11
12       SECTION 3.   This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
